Breeding Program

Taylor Elk Ranch and Minnesota Elk Co. have a very advanced breeding program with over 130 breeding cows. We have utilized a vast resource of bulls over the years and that tradition will continue on into the new millenium. Our artificial breeding program is a very successful and exciting aspect of our operation. We have chosen many champion bulls to use in our program. We place our bulls with cows that are selected to augment a bulls specific traits, whether it be symmetry, weight, beam/tine length or body size. Our breeding program continues to produce many exciting bulls including a new TER record score of 542" SCI by M061 in the year 2009.
